Cooper Luxe — The Overall Questionnaire
The big picture between you and Dane — how we work together, what's on deck, and what we could build next
From: Dane Cooper — prepared with Claude · Date: 2026-06-11 · Version: 1.0
Time needed: 20–30 minutes. Nothing here is a test — it's the conversation we keep meaning to have, written down.
Getting answers back to Dane: In the app (the live link), just tap SEND at the end — Dane gets it automatically. From a downloaded file, tap EXPORT ANSWERS and email it back. Prefer paper or Word? Mark up the reference document and send that instead. Either way, everything also saves on this device as you type.

§1 — 👋 Welcome — what this one is (~2 min)
The ABKC and Print Design questionnaires are about those businesses. THIS one is about everything else: how you and Dane work together, what's actually on your plate, and what you two might build next. There are no wrong answers and nothing here commits you to anything.
LUX-V-001 — You're James Cooper — Dane's brother — and bullysupplies@gmail.com is still the best email for you.
Context: This portal saves your progress and answers under your name, so Dane can see where things stand and you can switch devices without losing anything.
- [ ] Confirm — accurate as stated
- [ ] Needs correction — explain below
If correction needed, what's the real state?
Your answer:
LUX-D-001 — When Dane follows up on anything from this questionnaire, what works best?
- [ ] Telegram / text
- [ ] Phone call
- [ ] In person
Notes (optional):
§2 — 🗺 What we're working on — the honest state (~6 min)
Three things are live between us right now. Quick read on each, then your gut check — your scores tell Dane where to put attention.
LUX-I-001 — ABKC — the new website
Context: About 3 months of build. Registrations, payments, judges, events, points, and the office admin area are built and nearly launch-ready. What's left needs YOU: the ABKC questionnaire (registry facts + office policies + your launch decision), one 45-minute test session together, and the final sign-off before the domain switches over.
(status report — nothing to answer)
LUX-I-002 — Cooper Print Design — the store
Context: A working preview store exists for the custom-printing business — built on our own setup (roughly $0/month at preview traffic, not Shopify). It's waiting on your review and launch decisions in the Print Design questionnaire. Melissa has her own access to that portal too.
(status report — nothing to answer)
LUX-I-003 — These portals themselves
Context: james.cooperluxe.com (this one — the overall picture), abkc.cooperluxe.com (ABKC: you, the office, and the co-owners), and cpd.cooperluxe.com (Print Design: you and Melissa). Everything saves progress under each person's name, so nobody ever re-does work or loses their place. Sign-in (a code sent to your email) is being turned on so it's locked to exactly the right people.
(status report — nothing to answer)
LUX-S-001 — Gut check: how do you feel about where ABKC is headed?
Worried [ ] 1 [ ] 2 [ ] 3 [ ] 4 [ ] 5 Excited
Notes (optional):
LUX-S-002 — Same check for Cooper Print Design.
Worried [ ] 1 [ ] 2 [ ] 3 [ ] 4 [ ] 5 Excited
Notes (optional):
LUX-D-002 — Where do you want MORE visibility than you have today?
Context: Pick anything you'd like to see more of, more often. Dane can set up regular updates for any of these.
(check ALL that apply)
- [ ] ABKC operations (registrations, office, money)
- [ ] The Print Design store (orders, money)
- [ ] Payments and money flow in general
- [ ] The tech side — what's actually being built
- [ ] Nothing more — current updates are fine
Anything specific you want in those updates?
§3 — 🤝 How we work together (~6 min)
Dane builds in long stretches; you have your own life and work. These answers set the rhythm so neither of you is ever waiting on the other without knowing it.
LUX-D-003 — How often should you and Dane sync on purpose — not just when something's on fire?
- [ ] A short weekly call
- [ ] Every couple of weeks
- [ ] Text whenever — no set schedule
- [ ] Once a month is plenty
Notes (optional):
LUX-D-004 — When Dane is heads-down building and a question comes up for you, what should he do?
Context: This sets the default. You can always change it.
- [ ] Text me right away — I'd rather know
- [ ] Batch questions and send me a list
- [ ] Make the call himself and tell me after
- [ ] Depends — note it below
Notes (optional):
LUX-D-005 — When are you actually reachable?
(check ALL that apply)
- [ ] Weekday mornings
- [ ] Weekday afternoons
- [ ] Weekday evenings
- [ ] Weekends
Any times that are always bad?
LUX-D-006 — Flip side: when YOU are blocked waiting on Dane, what will you actually do?
Context: Honest answer helps — it tells Dane how to make sure you're never stuck silently.
- [ ] Text him right away
- [ ] Mention it next time we talk
- [ ] Honestly? Probably wait and forget — remind me
- [ ] Not sure — discuss live
Notes (optional):
LUX-V-002 — For anything urgent, texting you is the right move.
- [ ] Confirm — accurate as stated
- [ ] Needs correction — explain below
If correction needed, what's the real state?
Your answer:
LUX-T-001 — Anything about how you two work together today that you'd change?
Example: Open floor — pace, communication, who decides what…
Your answer:
§4 — 🌍 Your world (~4 min)
So plans actually fit your life instead of fighting it.
LUX-T-002 — What's on your plate these days that Dane should keep in mind?
Context: Work, family, anything that shapes your time. One or two sentences is plenty.
Your answer:
LUX-D-007 — Melissa and Print Design — how involved does she want to be?
Context: She has her own access to the Print Design portal. This just sets expectations; it can change anytime.
- [ ] She'll answer parts of the questionnaire herself
- [ ] She'll look things over with me
- [ ] She may help run parts of the store later
- [ ] Not sure yet — we'll see
Notes (optional):
LUX-D-008 — Realistically, how much time can you give our projects in a normal week?
- [ ] A couple of hours
- [ ] Around five hours
- [ ] Ten or more — I'm in deep
- [ ] It swings — depends on the season
Notes (optional):
LUX-T-003 — Anything coming up — travel, busy stretches, family things — Dane should plan around?
Your answer:
§5 — 🔭 What we could build next (~5 min)
Ideas only — nothing here is a commitment, a promise, or a plan. Dane wants your honest pull before anything gets sketched.
LUX-I-004 — How to read this section
Context: Once ABKC and Print Design are launched and steady, there's room to build more together. These questions just map where YOUR interest actually is — so if something new gets started, it's something you want, not something you got pulled into.
(status report — nothing to answer)
LUX-D-009 — Which directions even interest you? (pick any, or none)
Context: These are directions, not products — drawn from what we already have hands on: the dog world through ABKC, printing through CPD, and the web/tools side through everything Dane builds.
(check ALL that apply)
- [ ] More in the dog world — products or services around ABKC
- [ ] Growing the printing/merch side beyond the current store
- [ ] Building sites and tools for OTHER businesses
- [ ] Content — video, media, the story side of the dog world
- [ ] Nothing new for now — land what we have first
Anything specific already in your head?
LUX-S-003 — Appetite check: starting something NEW together in the next 12 months?
No appetite [ ] 1 [ ] 2 [ ] 3 [ ] 4 [ ] 5 Let's go
Notes (optional):
LUX-T-004 — If you and Dane built ONE new thing together next year, what should it be?
Example: Doesn't need to be realistic — what would you actually want?
Your answer:
LUX-T-005 — And the opposite — anything you'd rather NOT be part of?
Example: Just as useful to know…
Your answer:
§6 — 🛠 These portals & tools (~4 min)
You're one of the first people using this system. Thirty seconds of honesty here makes it better for the office, the co-owners, and Melissa.
LUX-V-003 — Sign-in is coming: a code sent to your email each time (no password to remember). That's acceptable to you.
Context: It keeps each portal locked to exactly the right people — you, Dane, and for ABKC the office and co-owners; for Print Design, you and Melissa.
- [ ] Confirm — accurate as stated
- [ ] Needs correction — explain below
If correction needed, what's the real state?
Your answer:
LUX-D-010 — What will you mostly use for all this?
- [ ] My phone
- [ ] A tablet
- [ ] A laptop/desktop
- [ ] A mix
Notes (optional):
LUX-A-001 — Your answers and check-off progress save to a shared database under your name — that's how Dane sees where things stand without nagging you.
Context: Full transparency: that's the whole point of the system. Only the right signed-in people can see it.
- [ ] Makes sense to me
- [ ] Actually, I have a concern — note below
Notes (optional):
LUX-T-006 — Anything confusing or annoying in these questionnaires and portals so far?
Your answer:
§7 — ✍️ Sign-off (~3 min)
Last page. Your answers go straight to Dane and shape what happens next.
LUX-V-004 — These answers reflect what you actually think — not what you figured Dane wanted to hear.
- [ ] Confirm — accurate as stated
- [ ] Needs correction — explain below
If correction needed, what's the real state?
Your answer:
LUX-T-007 — Open floor: anything we didn't ask that we should have?
Your answer:
LUX-T-008 — Your name as you'd sign it + today's date.
Example: James Cooper — 2026-06-__
